Today I thought I’d share a little OOTD post, something I want to try doing more regularly as they are easier to photograph and write than some of my other posts. My schedule is going to be very tight for the next few months but I really want to try and put out more content.
Today’s outfit was inspired by my Bloodborne shirt and what I would probably wear on a very casual day in Yharnam. Continue reading
I’ve been wanting to do more vintage related reviews recently but don’t have the budget for new clothing most of the time. I have decided to do more stocking reviews! We don’t have a lot of places that sell stockings in NZ and it can be such a hassle ordering online. I’m going to be reviewing whatever I can find of seamed stockings here! I’ve previously reviewed Columbine Stockings here if you haven’t checked that out.
First I’m going to be starting off with these VooDoo Undercover Back-Seam Stockings which I spotted in Farmers for the first time about a month ago. Continue reading
After sooo long I am finally back with a new foundation review, part of the Pale People Problems series. Since the last one I did I have tried about 5 different foundations, so I’ll be trying to cover those off.
Today I’m reviewing the Longwear 24 Hour foundation by Designer Brands Cosmetics. This is a brand I had never heard of until I went hunting in a pharmacy for some new powder. I decided to also swatch a few foundations while I was their and came away with this one! Continue reading
Welcome to the end of my What Katie Did review, sorry this one was so long in coming. If you haven’t yet read my other reviews you can read about the Padded Bullet Bra here, and the Liz Suspender Knickers here.
Today I will be talking about the Point Heel Fully Fashioned Stockings. These were my first ever pair of fully fashioned stockings so I was unbelievably excited when I received them. Continue reading
Something that I really overlooked when I started doing vintage makeup was contouring my eye. Over the years as I have gotten much more into both makeup and the style and find myself not going a day without contouring my eye now! It really gives your eye definition and enhances the shape of your cateye. It is also a technique used in most makeup looks. Continue reading
Welcome today to a new lingerie review – and one which isn’t a vintage style! As much as I love my bullet bras, I have found myself wanting a more modern shape for some of my clothes. I wore my What Katie Did bra recently with a loose shirt to my course and it looked very odd and not in a good way. So I popped off to my local Bendon hoping to find something suitable and I did! Continue reading
Welcome to another sewing tutorial. I didn’t have much time for sewing (or anything else) in the second half of last year. I am currently on a welcomed break and knew I just had to make this tutorial.
Today I will be showing you how to make batwing shirts in only half an hour. That’s right, half an hour! If I’m in the zone I can get about 3 done in an hour actually. The speed at which these can be made comes from it’s simple design and cut, they are all overlocked and finished – no cut corners. These also work for those who don’t dress in a vintage style but want a relaxed but stylish top! Continue reading
