May the Month of Lingerie – Week 3

Welcome to May the Month of Lingerie Week 3! Or as I like to call it week of Dita! I ended up wearing Dita Von Teese’s Von Follies range of lingerie 6 of the 7 days this week. I didn’t actually realise I had so much.

Day 15

Day 15

The weather was very bad for a couple of days this week so some pictures are a little dark.

Today is the ‘Glorified Girl’ set. I have already reviewed this on my blog here, and I still stand by my opinions. It’s a very comfortable set of lingerie and the pieces are so practical for wearing together or as separates. Also it’s design is so reminiscent of 1950’s lingerie that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it.

Day 16

Day 16

Today I finally got around to wearing some actual vintage lingerie. This is a vintage corsolette by McCoy Garments from right here in NZ with some basic white underwear I made. I am also wearing the What Katie Did seamed stockings in Champagne. I love true vintage lingerie, it’s so comfortable and I swear they used to use magic on the shapewear. I’ve tried many reproduction vintage shapewear brands but have always found originals to be the best.

Day 17

Day 17

I wasn’t feeling well at all today so I didn’t wear a bra, also I don’t find the matching bra for these underwear anymore which is such a shame. The briefs are ‘Madame X’ from Dita’s range and I am also wearing a shirt by RIPT Apparel. I still occasionally wear my suspender belt from the Madame X range but it isn’t a very strongly built piece and I always find it, and the garter straps, sliding down through the day which is really not ideal. I find the underwear extremely comfortable and like them for a basic black brief I can wear with anything.

Also I feel I should mention I have several RIPT shirts and I love them all. They are always such good value and it’s great to see such a variety of artwork styles and mash up of geeky things all together in one place.

Day 18

Day 18

Today I’m wearing the black ‘Sophisticate’ set.  I adore the leopard print satin, it looks so good and it is also really nice and smooth. I just wish I had a whole roll to make an entire wardrobe out of. Sometimes I find the side boning to bend out a little and dig in which doesn’t look great and can be uncomfortable. I think I might just end up taking it out, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker if you find this on sale like I did.

Day 19

Day 19

Today is the ‘Star Lift’ set. This has been released in so many colours, but I bought it in this purple and black colourway. Unfortunately the matching suspender belt wasn’t sold here otherwise I would have definitely bought it.. I’m also wearing Ambra Opaque Stay Ups, opaque stockings seem to be very difficult to find here in NZ so I might have to make a big overseas order at some stage.

Day 20

Day 20

I’m not sure if this had a name other than Animal Print as it was part of the first Von Follies collection, but it’s the same design as the ‘Sophisticate’ set. I originally had the chemise of this but sadly it is a cup size too small now, and it’s stored back at my parent’s house. I was so lucky to find this set in my size now as it is one of the comfiest bras I have.

Day 21

Day 21

This was going to be my last day of Dita lingerie but I ended up buying a new set today. But this is the ‘Madame X’ set in white. This is actually my favourite colourway of Madame X so far I think, though I really want it in purple too. Very few retailers have the soft cup bra in a D cup, but because of this style I could get away with a 32C as there are no wires. The briefs are very comfortable and the adjustable straps at the top means I can make it fit my waist well despite the underwear being larger for my hips.

I’m not sure what I’m going to wear for my last week or so! Hopefully I’ll be able to find some nice pieces. I’ll make my last post on the 31st, so it’ll be a little more than a week.
