Welcome to May the Month of Lingerie! I first found out about this through Lady Bellentina’s Tumblr page last year. I took part last year and this year I am featuring it on both my Tumblr and Blog. Also you can find all of last years posts here.
I was feeling very sick today so I just took a little close up. This is the Kiss Me Deadly, Lydia set. I love Kiss Me Deadly and own so many of their pieces. I find their bra bands are often a little too big, I buy a 32 back. Also this is a Pierre Cardin Summer robe, which is so comfortable and nice for lounging in on warm weekend mornings.
Pixel Panties!! I already talked about these here, so if you want a more in depth review, check it out. I love these and I need more, I can’t decide on my next colour though, thinking Sonic Blue… Anyway They are very lightweight and comfortable though I wish I had sized up from an M to a L.
This is my Simone Perele Insolence set. I lusted after this for the longest time, like over a year every time I went to the store I would stare at it and touch it. They have big yearly sales so I managed to pick it up at the start of this year. This is hands down the most comfortable lingerie I have ever worn, it’s so light and weightless but not in a flimsy way. The removable pushup air pads do a great job, but the bra also fits well without them.
This is probably my top lounging set. Tammy Tickling by Stella McCartney. The little flocked bows printed on this set are super cute, and the mesh is extremely smooth. The bra band is nice and snug with little stretch, it fits me well on the tightest hook in a 32/10 back.
Elle Macpherson’s Soie set in Fuchsia and White. I really want to find this again in the other colourways. I kept missing out when they were in store. The bra cups fit really well, my breasts have recently become slightly fuller but these cups fit well before and after. I love the assymetriallity of the lace placement, it’s my favourite detail.
My ‘Metropolis’ lingerie!! It’s actually Pleasure State Couture’s Hazel Bijou set but it reminds me so much of the 1927 classic I had to nickname it. I do wish I had sized up to a large in the briefs as they don’t have a lot of stretch to them. This set has some lovely details like the metallic lace, bows with mesh-covered rhinestones in the centre and triple picot elastic edging. I found the cups fit better on a less full bust which is worth mentioning. And honestly if I had to save one set of lingerie in a fire it would be this one.
Today I mismatched my lingerie. This is the Evollove Night Sky Contour Longline bra paired with my Triangle Mesh Tap Pants which are available in my Etsy store here. I already talked about my Evollove bra in my first TLQ blog post earlier this year. It’s had to come across longline bras here in NZ so I was glad to have found this one. I really like these Tap Pants as well, they are great for sleeping in and also for Summer, day or night.
So there was my first May the Month of Lingerie post! Part way through this week I will be writing a blog post about body confidence and how I feel about my body, and in relation to this month.
